For what it's worth I was ecstatic to know that fIREHOSE had formed. I was very saddened at the death of D Boon and the Minutemen were among my favorites at the time (still are.) So when I heard about fIREHOSE I had high hope for, not a continuation of the Minutemen but at least something esthetically in the same vein. I personally wasn't disappointed. Ragin' Full On still ranks among my top ten album and it's soul search lyrics in the wake of D Boon's death struck a resonant chord for me.
